As part of their effort to strengthen the health system and improve quality of maternal and newborn care and outcomes, the Ugandan Ministry of Health has piloted a Regional Learning Network in Hoima starting in 2016 with support from Save the Children and the University Research Company (URC). This brief provides information about the Regional Learning Network in the Hoima Region as an approach that could be used to advance high-quality maternal and newborn health care in health facilities to support scale-up of high-impact, feasible interventions.
